MarcEdit Workshops

The two preconference workshops were presented at the Annual Meetings of the American Association of Law Libraries and were designed to be entirely hands on. The handouts and all related files and documents are available for download here.

The Magic of MarcEdit (Baltimore, 2018) was a full-day workshop covering basic information about MarcEdit, followed by five real-life workflows that use many MarcEdit tools and functions. Prepared and presented by Yael Mandelstam (Fordham).

Regex Rules! Using Regular Expressions with MarcEdit (Washington, DC, 2019) was a half-day workshop covering basic regex concepts using the online regex tester RegExr, followed by five scenarios using regex in MarcEdit. Prepared and presented by Yael Mandelstam (Fordham), Jean Pajerek (Cornell), and Alan Keely (Wake Forest).

PRINTING: The handout pages were formatted to be printed on both sides of the page and include mirror margins adjusted to accommodate a spiral coil (1/4″ added to the left side of uneven pages and right side of even pages).
